The book for children "The Giraffe Dreams of Clouds" is a collection of poems by Russian poets of the 20th and 21st centuries, selected by Oleg Lekmanov, a famous philologist and wonderful father.
Oleg Lekmanov is a Doctor of Philological Sciences, a writer, a laureate of the Shuvakov Teaching Prize of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, a laureate of the main literary prize of Russia "The Big Book," a visiting professor at Princeton University, and the co-author of two sons — thirty and three and a half years old.
The collection includes 151 poems by 90 authors, including Alexander Vvedensky, Marina Boroditskaya, Grigory Kruzhkov, Arthur Givargizov, Masha Rupasova, Mikhail Yasnov, Sasha Chorny, and other poets — both well-known and lesser-known.
Which poems are included in the collection? Oleg Lekmanov explains it this way: - "The only selection principle was extremely simple: it was that I wanted to read this poem to my son. Or - that my son wanted to read it himself when he grows a bit older."
