The widow of businessman Marina Zap'yantseva approaches Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lev Guryev. Unknown individuals have kidnapped her daughter and are demanding a hefty ransom. There is only one day to collect the money, and no contact... with law enforcement, otherwise the girl will be killed. Guryev understands: such a harsh demand must have serious grounds, which means the criminals are familiar with the family of the deceased businessman.
