Stories about the little Elephant and his friends were born in the mid-20th century — at that time poet David Samoilov and composer Boris Chaikovsky decided to create a radio play for the little ones. The stories became so loved... by the listeners that they soon turned into a book and even an animated film. The book contains four tales: "The Little Elephant Went to School," "The Little Elephant's Birthday," "The Little Elephant Tourist," and "The Little Elephant Got Sick." The illustrations for the book were drawn by Nadezhda Bugoslavskaya — and the characters of the tales became even brighter and funnier.
