Cassie Hobbs is a born profiler. Her ability to create accurate psychological portraits has earned her a place in the FBI. She helps track down serial killers and solve the most complex crimes. While Cassie hones her skills, an unexpected event occurs: a college student has been brutally murdered, and her body is conspicuously left in plain sight. The police believe a professor, who taught a course on the psychology of serial killers, is involved in the case. Someone is exactly replicating the methods used by a notorious maniac on his victims. It seems that this case cannot be solved without the help of the 'born' profilers. Now Cassie will have to delve into the psychology of the killer and unravel the cruel games of his mind to prevent another death.
