Notes on the Search for Spirits

The book of the famous writer Gan Bao "Notes on the Search for Spirits" is one of the oldest and most well-known monuments of Chinese literature, telling about what "Confucius did not speak of" — the most diverse unclean beings: the spirits of mountains, forests, and their deeds, hermits, werewolves, and miracle workers. Gan Bao conceived his book as proof of the existence of spirits. "Notes on the Search for Spirits" has remained through the ages as the most universal and comprehensive collection of fantastic tales, the plots of which are used in Chinese literature to this day.
