Through the Zones. The Sleeping Stalker

Gone are the days when the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone was a battlefield for factions, an area of someone's interests. People tried to seize the forbidden territory, divide it, mark spheres of influence, but to no avail. The Zone dealt with... intruders in its own way: some vanished, some died, some mutated. And the anomalous lands once again became an object of study, research, and understanding.In attempts to earn money, the Pilot has seen all kinds in the Zone, but alas: dreams of a better fate remained just dreams. A chance was needed — just one! And a bit of luck to turn things around and return home. And such a chance came. An old acquaintance gifted a unique artifact, guaranteeing good profit, and a random partner proposed a deal to deliver samples to the scientists. The only thing left was to go where needed and deliver what was required... Only the Pilot, unknowingly, got closer than anyone else to a special secret of the Zone, and who knows where this secret could now lead.
