Courier

Each time has its heroes. In the late 80s, the hero of the time became Ivan Miroshnikov, the hero of the story and the film of the same name by Karen Shakhnazarov "Courier." Before "Courier," there were no such free young people in literature and cinema like Ivan, who boldly spoke on equal terms with adults, rejecting authorities and breaking stereotypes. Behind this bravado, the sensitive reader and viewer will see the confusion of a young man who still does not know how he wants to live but knows for sure that it will not be as required by the laws and decencies invented by unknown people. "– What are you dreaming of? – I want to buy a coat, winter is coming, and I have nothing to wear. – Here’s a coat for you! I don’t need it anyway, I’ll soon have to go to the army. But you wear it and dream of greatness..." Ivan Miroshnikov’s peers and his friend Bazin, who dreamed of a new coat, are no longer "children" but "fathers." But they recognize each other by phrases from "Courier": "Dream of greatness..."
