It is known that the forgeries came from a private bank, and there is suspicion that someone from its management is involved in the crime. An official investigation may scare off the criminals, so the case is taken up by the provincial advisor Alexey Lykov. He embeds his subordinate Yuri Valevachev into the bank's staff, but the assignment turns out to be more dangerous than he thought…
