The only completed novel by Edgar Allan Poe, written in 1838, was first presented to the Russian reader in the literary magazine of F. M. Dostoevsky "Vremya" in 1861. To date, there are about ten official Russian translations of this... mysterious, adventure-filled, and mystical work. This edition publishes the version of Konstantin Dmitrievich Balmont - an outstanding symbolist poet of the Silver Age. Although his translation is already more than a hundred years old, it remains one of the most accurate and close to the original text. "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket" is an exciting and imagination-stirring novel. In style, it differs slightly from the rest of Edgar Poe's legacy. Nevertheless, while reading it, one understands that no one else could have written anything like it.
