Gentleman's Agreement

What is a failed actor, making a living with sporadic earnings at a prank agency, to do when he learns of a fatal diagnosis? Of course, he agrees to a risky assignment from a big dealer who wants to send... his business partner to prison by provoking him into murder and recording the act on camera. There is one condition – the death must be real; otherwise, the partner won't be imprisoned. For the well-being of his daughter, the unfortunate man performs his last fateful role. However, soon the situation spirals out of control and unfolds quite differently from what the characters of this intricate novel, steeped in the best traditions of early Guy Ritchie films, anticipated. Or are there really no coincidences, and the whole sequence of events occurs according to a carefully thought-out script?
