A Bad Place. Moscow Time

Captain of police Andrey Bolshakov, an operative in charge of particularly important cases at the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, has a measured life planned out for the next ten years. He serves in the Fifth Department of the Main Directorate, dealing with corruption in the upper echelons of power and the safety of the ministry, waiting for the promised apartment and the rank of major.

However, he does not suspect that soon he will have to forget about Moscow and head to the front lines in the fight against organized crime in his home region, where the criminal situation is one of the most severe in the country.

The book is based on real events that occurred in Moscow, Tver, Smolensk, Tula, Murmansk, and other cities in the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century. The struggle against organized crime, terrorism, and corruption, the merger of power structures with criminal authorities, the elimination of the most dangerous militants, the emergence of the notorious group 'Tver Wolves' — this is what will be discussed in the first book of the cycle 'A Bad Place'.
