They settled in a former pioneer camp near Tomsk, not far from the infamously renowned Black Lake of the monk, on which, according to lore, lies a terrible curse. And... troubles were not long in coming: a guy — the team commander — drowned in the lake. What was he doing on the rocky shore at night, went for a swim? But he didn't even know how to swim! Another equally mysterious death followed. What secrets of the past do the ancient spirits of the 'dead lake' keep?
