The card game for 2-5 players invites participants to venture into paper jungles in search of local fauna representatives. You need not only to catch them but also to try to take pictures with the most interesting animals. However, the...
orderly ranks of animals can always be disrupted by Tarzan suddenly jumping out of the bushes!
At the beginning of the game, each participant lays out 6 cards in two rows in front of them, only revealing one – no one knows who is hiding in the thicket. Each turn, the photo hunter can take one card from the deck or from the discard pile and, by revealing it, replace one of their cards. Thus, you must try to collect animals with the smallest numbers, as the winner of the round will be the one whose total sum is the lowest: small animals are harder to capture on camera than hefty hippos and elephants!
What should you do if you are afraid of accidentally discarding the raccoon with the number 1 and replacing it with a clumsy bear with the number 9? An elephant can help you, as its approach will surely scare someone out of the bushes: by drawing the elephant, you can look at any of your face-down cards. However, the elephant will then definitely go to you. And there is no way to get rid of Tarzan: if you draw him from the deck, you will have to choose a place for him to land. The animal he drives away will go to your neighbor – and so on in a circle, until the heroic battle cry is heard throughout the jungles.
In "Pocket Safari," there is certainly an element of luck and chance, as wild animals are unpredictable! However, by skillfully managing elephants and Tarzan, correctly exchanging large animals for small ones, and catching the most valuable fox by the tail, you will surely be able to take the most successful photograph!
