Pavel Sviridov was considered one of the most promising students at the university. Therefore, he was not surprised when he caught the attention of "comrades in plain clothes." What he was offered delighted the young man: studying at a closed school for special services, followed by an internship in the agencies, trips abroad. Pavel already envisioned himself as a super agent, running on rooftops, shooting with both hands, and exposing spies. However, in reality, everything turned out to be much more prosaic and dangerous. He realized this when, while performing his first task, he ended up in the hands of unknown individuals preparing to give him an injection of the "truth serum."
