After all, the author and the artist created it this way - they wanted to share their own experiences, reflect on the origins of tears, and explain how drawing helps cope when tears are needed but somehow do not come. The book has been published in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, English, French, Italian, Greek, Danish, Korean, and Japanese, and has also been awarded the Parents' Choice Gold Award (2020), Northern Lights Book Awards (2021), and Premio Junceda (2019).
