Before you is a poetic illustrated book that reminds us that tears gradually nourish us, help us grow, soothe... us, and act as a balm for our wounds. At the end of the book, you will find a large article about tears: what kinds there are, what they are made of, why they are of such shape, how much a tear weighs, who can cry. Also, there are tasks that will help children and adults discuss personal experiences, analyze them, and indulge in a little imagination, engaging in creativity inspired by the book. After all, the author and the artist created it this way - they wanted to share their own experiences, reflect on the origins of tears, and explain how drawing helps cope when tears are needed but somehow do not come. The book has been published in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, English, French, Italian, Greek, Danish, Korean, and Japanese, and has also been awarded the Parents' Choice Gold Award (2020), Northern Lights Book Awards (2021), and Premio Junceda (2019).
