The search is entrusted to operative Berdyaev. A model officer, a ladies' man, the operative devises a multi-layered scam, hoping to secure the position of department head. 

However, the plan fails, and now, to extricate himself from the criminal situation, he is forced not only to risk his life but also to completely change his worldview.
