Eugene Onegin

Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799-1837) is a classic of Russian literature, who laid the foundations of the Russian realistic direction, a poet, prose writer, and playwright.
For his creative achievements, the writer was already called a genius during his lifetime. Gogol wrote:... "Pushkin is an extraordinary phenomenon and, perhaps, the only phenomenon of the Russian spirit: this is a Russian man in his development, as he may appear in two hundred years"..
The novel in verse "Eugene Onegin" is considered one of the most famous works of the writer. The main character, "having lived without purpose, without toil until the age of twenty-six," suffers from the boredom of a frivolous life and goes to the countryside. He disturbs the calm lifestyle of the village residents and leaves them, unable to reconcile with his own melancholy.
