Six years have passed since Tom Ripley arrived in Europe and, having committed the murder of Dickie Greenleaf, inherited his money, and with it the habits of rich people who do not have to think much about their daily bread. "Mr. Ripley Underground" is the second book in the series about Mr. Ripley, Patricia Highsmith's most popular character, who lives in a strange world, where the dead rise from their graves, where game and reality are indistinguishable, and a fake is sometimes more valuable than the original. Like other books of the “Ripliad”, the book was a huge success among readers, was translated into many languages, and based on it in 2005, a film was made with Barry Pepper in the title role (the film was released in Russian under the title “The Return of Mr. Ripley” ).
