Call of the Void

Why are we afraid to look into the abyss? We are not afraid of heights - we are afraid of ourselves. We are afraid that when we hear the call of emptiness, we will want to respond and take a step. And some of us respond... Strange murders are happening in Paris - either a ritual, or the work of a maniac. Ludivine Vanker, an employee of the Paris Investigation Department, is again faced with evil, with an alliance of predators, in whose crimes this time there is no hint of mysticism, which does not make them any less infernal. A perverted consciousness is capable of terrible things - but what happens if you put it at the service of a coherent ideological system? Terrorists mutilate lives and souls, including those whom they win over to their side, but what if the soul is already mutilated? Predators do not know compassion; they are not interested in living people, but in inhuman abstractions. Ludivina will again be face to face with them and will learn how to fight evil if it is elusive. Maxime Shattam, the author of best-selling books that sell millions of copies, a passionate researcher of evil and horror, started this novel three times - the first two times it turned out too similar to real events. However, there are stories that cannot but be told, and this is one of them. The translation of the novel “Call of the Void” is published in a new edition.
