Old Believers - Semeiskie, Isai Kalashnikov became known throughout the country as the author of the epic novel “The Cruel Age” (1978), which tells the story of the life of Genghis Khan. The plot of the novel covers forty years, which can be called an entire era: so many upheavals occurred during this time. Once again, Isai Kalashnikov skillfully captivates the reader in the vicissitudes of the lives of his heroes, proving that in history there are no big or small themes, that the measure of everything is a person and his place in the world.
