The leading forensic expert of the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany, Paul Hertzfeld, found a note with the phone number of his daughter Hanna in the head of a horrifically disfigured female corpse. It turns out the girl has... been kidnapped, and the perpetrator with a twisted mind is drawing Paul into a deadly game, leaving a ghostly hope to save his daughter. Another instruction for further actions is hidden in another corpse, which is located on the northern island of Helgoland. However, Hertzfeld has no chance of obtaining information. A powerful cyclone has cut off the island from the mainland, and the population has already been evacuated. Among the few who remained is comic artist Linda. She was the one who discovered the dead body on the beach. The desperate father tries to persuade her to perform the autopsy according to his phone instructions.
