Much more than from the shard stuck in his head, Mark Lucas suffers from soul pain due to the car accident he caused, in which his wife and unborn child died. Mark gains hope of returning to life when he learns of a psychiatric experiment that could rid him of unbearable, tormenting memories. But after his first visit to the clinic, something frighteningly strange happens to him. The contact list on his phone turns out to be empty. Mark's apartment key no longer fits the lock. A different name is listed on the plaque. And when the door opens from the inside in response to his knock, Mark finds himself in his most terrifying nightmare...
