Marriage Contract with the Duke

In her childhood, Beatrice was a frail child, now she is grown, but her brother, the Duke of Kendal, still protects her from the slightest breeze, balls, and outings, forbidding marriage – the doctor believes that childbirth would kill her weak body. Beatrice is convinced that she has long recovered and decides it is better to die than to live locked up for the rest of her days.
