In the immense depths of the Langjökull glacier, the frozen body of a businessman, who disappeared without a trace thirty years ago, is found. The crime remained unsolved at that time. The police have no choice but to re-arrest the seriously ill suspect Hjalttalin, who was never able to be imprisoned.
