Favorite Tales in the Masterpieces of Russian Illustration

Not only Russian fairy tales, but also foreign ones found themselves in the spotlight of masters of domestic book graphics of the 19th - early 20th centuries. It turns out that the brilliant Ivan Bilibin illustrated H.-C. Andersen and the... stories of Scheherazade. The virtuoso Boris Zvorikin transformed the German "Messy Peter" into the Russian "Stepka-Rastryapa" - one of the most published children's books in Russia before 1917.
Meanwhile, one of the most talented illustrators of the publishing houses of Ivan Sytin and Iosif Knebely, artist Anatoly Neruchev, created a whole gallery of magical images of characters from Russian folk tales (more than thirty!).
These and other books have long been a collector's rarity and a classic, the indisputable merits of which our publication allows you to appreciate. Most of the illustrations presented in it are returning for the first time in a whole century.
