Modern Hebrew for Beginners

We present to your attention a textbook of modern Hebrew, prepared by Maria Evgenievna Alexeeva, a teacher at the Department of Semitology and Hebrew Studies at St. Petersburg State University.
 
The lexical and grammatical material presented in the book is aimed... at an unprepared reader and aims to gradually increase the level of language proficiency, the material is presented according to the principle of "from simple to complex".
 
The combination of two principles of language learning - grammatical and communicative - allows one to understand the grammatical norms of Hebrew and to use the studied language for communication from the very first lessons. Classes under the guidance of a teacher are assumed, but with systematic reference to quality reference literature, the textbook can be used for independent study.
