College assessor Alexey Lykov is not destined to rest on his laurels, enjoying the comfort of his home surrounded by his children and beautiful wife. Service again calls him to a dangerous assignment. This time, Lykov is set to go to Warsaw and investigate several crimes. Russian officers have been brutally murdered – left with their bellies cut open to die. The authorities would easily attribute all this to common criminals if it were not for Lykov's stubbornness, who, risking his life, managed to uncover a conspiracy of national scale.
