Escape from Atahail

After a global flood, humanity is huddled on small islands, united in the state of Atahail. The new order is such that small islands work for the benefit of the larger one. To prevent anyone from thinking of disobeying or... escaping, each island is surrounded by a deadly fence. Eili is a resident of a paradise where grapes and oranges are grown for the owners. She is preparing to become the leader of her settlement while secretly dreaming of knowing what life is like on other islands. Her world is turned upside down when a new security commander, Sold, arrives from beyond the fence, cruel and arrogant. Against the rules, feelings flare between Eili and Sold. Soon, the girl manages to discover what Atahail is really like. But will she, as before, be able to live in the state after everything she encounters outside her native island?
