1889. England, Devonshire County. People die from the fangs of a devilish dog on the marshes. 2020. Tambov forests, the ghost of the cursed swamps, a terrible howl, torn bodies of victims. Escaping from the pandemic, screenwriter Ilya Samburov leaves... the capital for a remote province in search of a plot for a new series. He is invited by an old friend Anton Zavyalov, who works as a doctor in a small settlement. On the outskirts, there is a gloomy estate "Old Elms" — for filming the future movie, there is no better place to be found. Moreover, the first owner of the estate was found dead on the alley, near the body — traces of a huge dog. Ilya became interested in the legend of the beast that comes from the swamps in bad weather and kills people. Locals consider it an evil spirit. Who will be the first to track down the beast — the werewolf hunters or screenwriter Samburov? And what nightmarish secret do the "Old Elms" hold?
