Eleven years ago, Diana Andreeva was an ordinary student at the St. Petersburg Philology Department. Just a girl who fell in love with a blue-eyed guy, who wasn't even handsome. At what point did the love story between a promising student and a mysterious graduate student take a dark turn? At what point did Diana realize she was dating a killer?

These questions are raised by Varya Shvedova, who is filming a documentary for her diploma. She notices inconsistencies in Diana's story. Minor details that indicate that Diana is lying. Varya becomes obsessed with the Graduate Student… and is convinced of his innocence, unaware that she is in danger.
