The Language of Bones

A drunk driver crashed into a van on the Los Angeles freeway. A usual case. Rather, it would be usual if the van had not fled the scene, and as a result of the collision… frozen human body parts hadn't... fallen out of it. Or bodies. An FBI agent unofficially seeks help from forensic anthropologists Jane Hall and Styli Lander, whose private agency specializes in the forensic examination of unidentified corpses. Jane and Styli are magnificent experts in their field. They quickly establish that the body fragments belong to several women. Moreover, the identity of one of them can possibly be determined by a surgical plate in the humerus. This fortunate lead could significantly advance the search for whoever killed and dismembered the victims. However, the euphoria is soon destined to dissipate: Jane and Styli's unique skills lead them too close to the killer…
