The Contest of Killers

Colonels of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Guryev and Kryachko are resting in Anapa. Here, in the hotel, the final of the literary contest for detective authors is taking place. Suddenly, writer Kiryano is found dead in his room. He was shot with a pistol. The main suspect is his wife. The woman, frightened, denies any wrongdoing, claiming that she has been set up. Guryev is ready to believe her, as a button featuring an anchor, which none of the suspects have, was found at the crime scene... But in the widow's handbag, a pistol is unexpectedly discovered, from which another famous writer was killed many years ago. By a cruel twist of fate, the participants in that bloody event have now gathered under one roof again…
