Nine Kingdoms: Lady Pearl

In the times of the Great Zheng dynasty, in the oceans of the Nine Kingdoms lived mermaids whose tears turned into marvelous pearls. The coastal residents were subjected to a heavy tax on pearls. To pay it, young Haishi, who... lived in the coastal village of Yu, lost her father and almost perished herself. 

But at the most terrifying moment of her life, she met Fang Zhu, the emperor's advisor. The girl became his pupil. Growing up, the girl fell in love with the emperor's advisor — as Haishi thought, unrequitedly. After suppressing the traitor's rebellion, Fang Zhu helped the emperor pull the kingdom out of crisis and raised Haishi into a wonderful warrior. One day the girl found herself in the palace, and her life changed forever. How will the fates of these people unfold, and what role will the tears of the mermaids play in these events?
