A group of poets, sympathizing with Charles I and close to his court, came... to be known as the cavalier poets. Creatively, they followed ancient models and celebrated life with all its joys.

Today, you finally have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the works of this intriguing group of poets (among them Robert Herrick, Richard Lovelace, Edmund Waller, John Suckling) in the remarkable translations of Marina Yakovlevna Boroditskaya, a laureate of the awards “Unicorn and Lion” (2006) and “Master” (2010), as well as the award from the magazine “Foreign Literature” (2007).
