Fairies are cruel creatures whose homeland is Avarat, a beautiful and magical world where dangers lurk in every corner. 
The people of Alderia have not encountered fairies in their lands for centuries until a cursed girl named Delphina was born in... a small village. On her twenty-first birthday, she becomes a prisoner of the fairy prince.
Delphina is brought to Avarat, where she tries to escape the watch of four rulers who... have a keen interest in the girl.
The courts of the fairies are fading. The magical people are disappearing.
Only four courts remain. Four princes who have decided to save the crumbling kingdoms.
And Delphina may hold the key to salvation. But the price is unreasonably high.
Will Delphina have the courage and strength to challenge her captors? Is she truly cursed? Can allies emerge for a helpless person in a hostile and mysterious world?
