The Tenant

Mrs. Banting and her husband open a profitable house, and at first, things go terribly wrong. But after a while, the Bantings have a new tenant: Mr. Slut, a polite and well-mannered young man who is willing to pay generously... for the rooms. However, he has his own peculiarities: he is fanatically religious, constantly disappears somewhere at night, and then conducts mysterious experiments. Meanwhile, rumors about a serial killer spread throughout London. A cruel maniac is killing young women and leaving tiny scraps of paper with the inscription "Avenger" on the bodies of the victims. Police patrol the streets day and night, but they cannot track him down. Gradually, Mrs. Banting begins to suspect that their tenant may not be who he claims to be…
