Suicide Note

In the office of the police chief Captain Nikolai Sorokin, the body of his partner Tamara has been discovered. According to the note left behind, it seems that this is a suicide. However, the captain and his young assistants Kolka and Olya think otherwise. There were no reasons for Tamara to voluntarily leave life: she worked as the head of the cafeteria and lived comfortably for the post-war period. Sorokin could not even imagine that the investigation into this strange incident would return him to his youth, when the captain, then a novice operative, was almost seized by death in the familiar female guise…
