To Children

The book includes poems by the classic of domestic children's literature, Samuel Yakovlevich Marshak, illustrated by one of the most famous masters of Soviet book illustration, Vladimir Mikhailovich Konashevich. The two greatest masters created books together that are rightly considered golden classics of children's literature. "Here is how absent-minded"; "Fire"; "Cheerful Counting" and other poems and songs were written by S. Ya. Marshak over the years and have different authorial editions, but the most interesting ones were included in the book "To Children". V. M. Konashevich also made different versions of illustrations for S. Ya. Marshak's poems and the illustrations presented here were made in the 1950s-1960s. The book "To Children" gives readers of the 21st century the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of a remarkable book graphic artist, who belonged to the heirs of the Russian visual school and was one of the founders of the new children's book.
