Too Many Lovers

A certain Vyacheslav Dvubratov, who gives the impression of a provincial gangster, approached me, private detective Pavel Sinichkin. He asked me to find his missing mistress Alena and immediately offered an extremely generous advance. Alena worked as a manicurist, lived... with her unsuccessful husband in a one-room apartment, and they had no children – there seemed to be nothing to latch onto! To begin with, I went to talk to Alena's husband, but found him dead. One cannot say otherwise, it's a good start!
