The lyrics of Edgar Allan Poe are hazy, captivating, and gloomy images. Complex, mysterious, full of enigmatic hints symbolism. His signature "sound painting" and sharp changes of rhythm. Fantastic pictures of mystical landscapes. And, of course, an obsession with the themes of doomed love and death. He is commonly regarded as a visionary, but this does not fully correspond to the truth. In reality, he never hid that the legendary "Raven" was written with almost mathematically precise calculation of not only each stanza but also each line, which is almost as renowned as the "Bells" attempts to convey in verbal form the sounds of the bell ringing. However, the genius of Poe's poetry is not diminished in the slightest by the fact that it contains not only the inspiration of a genius but also hard labor.
