A scientist-programmer Kirill Stanov dies in an accident. His death appears to be a ridiculous coincidence, but the deceased's colleagues doubt this. Recently, Stanov was working on a unique program called "Angel," designed to identify planned disasters and thereby prevent... the death of people with high IQs. Thanks to the new technology, those whose lives were supposed to be tragically cut short due to an accident would simply miss their flight or train. The father’s work is continued by his son Pavel. However, the young man is primarily interested in who is behind the murder of Stanov Sr. During the next trials of the program, Pavel meets people who know what really happened.
