The History of Russia in Stories for Children

It is known that the writer worked on her book for six years. Written for children, A. Ishimova's «History» is interesting to adult readers as well: it contains extensive information about the millennium history of the Fatherland. For her historical... work, the writer received the honorary Demidov Prize from the Russian Academy of Sciences. In addition to working on the book, A.O. Ishimova taught, translated from English, and was also engaged in publishing activities. From 1841 to 1862, the writer published a children's magazine «Star». The creativity of A.O. Ishimova was highly praised by V.A. Zhukovsky, A.S. Pushkin, N.V. Gogol, and other great writers. The famous Russian critic V.G.
