Yuri Polikarpovich Kuzynev 1941 - 2003 — a Russian poet, translator, literary critic, editor, educator, professor of the Literary Institute, member of the Union of Writers of the USSR. His poetic language, sense of the tragic split of the modern world, and vivid perception of Russian culture and national character sparked much debate and evoked genuine interest from very different readers.
