The English Slave of the Sultan

1474. The young English knight Leo Thornville, at the behest of his enterprising uncle, a clever abbot, participates in a trading journey to Cyprus - to purchase wine and fabrics. However, the times are such that the trading expedition resembles... a military venture and is no less dangerous than participating in military actions. The ship on which Leo sails falls prey to Turkish pirates, who resell their captive to other Turks. Thus begins the forced journey of young Leo through the vastness of the Ottoman Empire, where he will have to labor in construction, learn the Turkish language and customs. «Lord, why me?» - Leo questions. Meanwhile, the Turkish Sultan Mehmed prepares for the siege of the island of Rhodes and it seems that Leo, by the will of providence, must play his role in this significant historical event.
