In 1913, Alexey Lykov, by the will of fate, finds himself in the city of Smolensk, where he is to not only save a friend and colleague - Collegiate Assessor Azvestopulo - from the punishing sword of justice but also... to uncover a secret network of Austrian sabotage bases and expose Polish spies.
