The collection includes the best poems, fairy tales and stories by writers and poets of the XX century, as well as fairy tales from various peoples illustrated by Eric Bulatov and Oleg Vasiliev – outstanding artists who created an unmatched... creative tandem. Over the years of collaboration, the artists illustrated more than a hundred children's books, changing themes and styles of drawing. E. Bulatov and O. Vasiliev illustrated the books of A. Barto and V. Berestov, V. Kataev and G. Tsiferov, E. Moshkovskaya and M. Boroditskaya, Boris Zakhoder and E. Permyak. The collection includes not only their most famous works but also illustrations that have not been published for decades. For example, the illustrations for V. Berestov's fairy tales are published for the first time since 1966, for T. Belozyorov's poems – since 1984, and for the Russian folk tale "The Rooster and the Bean Seed" – since 1988.
