17th century, France. Two neighboring aristocrats, la Gersh and Chaufontaine, whose childhood was filled with endless quarrels and reconciliations, grew up and suddenly felt that something was missing. What was it? Real dangers, damn it! And one rainy night, a stranger with a predatory gaze and a strange mark on his forehead appeared at the gates of la Gersh's castle. And with him, a whole gang. Well, it seems like something is starting... After all, the laws of hospitality have not been canceled. Monsieur de la Gersh and his friend are awaiting deadly battles and cunning intrigues, wandering the roads of France, Germany, and Sweden, dragoons, pirates, gypsies, and mercenary lansquenets of all kinds, encounters, duels, and skirmishes with the heroes and anti-heroes of the Thirty Years' War.
The next volume of «Masters of Adventure» includes the most famous novel by Amédée Ashare «The Valorous Rapier of Monsieur de la Gersh», the events of which take place during the era of «The Three Musketeers» and one Richelieu.
