A Clockwork Orange

A Clockwork Orange is a literary paradox of the 20th century. Smart, cruel, and charismatic antihero Alex, the leader of a street gang, preaching violence as a high art of life, as a form of pleasure, falls into the iron grip of the latest state program for the rehabilitation of criminals and becomes a victim of violence himself. But can the world be saved from evil by depriving a person of the will to act and turning them into a clockwork orange?
