A Monster Calls

The monster appeared just after midnight.
Conor was not asleep. He was awakened by a nightmare. Ever since his mother fell seriously ill, he has been having the same nightmarish dream.
This monster, resembling a yew tree, rarely appears to people. It... came to Conor to tell three stories: about love, hope, and loss. The monster will come every night, and when it finishes telling its tale, Conor will have to share his own story with it. About what he fears the most in the world.
